HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY BABY KACE!!!

NEW YEARS DAY!!!

It is now a New Year and I have realized that the days aren't getting any longer, in fact they seem like they are getting shorter and my kids are growing faster. We had a great day on 1.1.09. Our dear friends Rodney & Lisa Bardwell came over with their two boys, Steele and Hudson (Lisa, do you feel famous!!!) and we had so much food and so much fun! We ate the traditional New Years meal...except for cabbage...so if you see our house on the Repo list please buy it back for us...just kidding, we are very blessed in that aspect. The boys had a blast, the big boys too. For Christmas David gave Trace is gun that his dad gave him when he was a little boy and they were out on the property shooting the gun. My BABY was shooting his gun for the 1st time and he brought me his 1st shotgun shell and it brought tears to my eyes. I know that we will continue to always have "1sts" with each of them but Trace, I remember his 1st cry and the first time he sat up and exactly what he was wearing and the 1st step that he took. I just can't believe he is SHOOTING A GUN...What??? I think as I get older, just like everyone says, I get wiser to the fact that our children are our lives and to cherish every single second, because in the blink of an eye they are so independent and so receptive to that "1st" without you holding their hand. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

We ALL made it to midnight!!! EVEN DAVID!!! This is the first year in I can't even begin to tell you when that David has stayed up with us till midnight, usually it is Trace and I that toast each other with his little shot glasses and say Chin-Chin. We never like to go anywhere on New Year's Eve because the risk is just not worth it being on the roads so we decided to take the boys to eat dinner at no other than Rancho Grande and then I had to run into Wal-Mart so that I could make all the traditional New Year's Day food. Then we headed home where we all stayed up and watched Dick Clark's New Years Rockin Eve. David tried to convince me that at 11:00 he could go to bed because we actually just watched the ball drop (ya, in New York)...didn' work. At midnight we all kissed and toasted and then off to bed for the little boys. We are very excited about 2009; we expect many first's with Baby Kace, we are waiting the arrival of our deer in early February, watching all the boys grow and become such great friends as well as loving (when they are not throwing punches at each other) brothers, spending time with family and friends and just enjoying everyday of life. And if I watch one more infomercial about P90X I may be the rippest mom on the block eventhough we don't live anywhere near a block. We hope that all of you have a great 2009 and we hope to be as blessed as we were in 2008! NO we are not having any more children.., but we do feel very blessed.

We have been a busy busy family since last time I posted so I wanted to catch everyone up quickly...I find it so hard to post on our blog because by the time that I sit down and finish everything else I am exhausted by the time that I get to our blog (and after I catch up on everyone else's blog and then click on their friends and then friends of their friends and I find myself reading about someones life that I don't even know! I tell my self tomorrow I will post that and tomorrow comes and goes). I really am going to make it a New Years goal to be more diligent in my postings, not only for everyone else but for me to document ours and our children's precious days.

THIS IS REALLY HARD WORK!!!

Everyone says that Kace and Trace look just alike but now this is really DeJaVou (spelling???) Trace use to jump and jump and jump till he just fell asleep and I use to just leave him there because he would NEVER sleep in his crib and ALWAYS wanted to be held, this was the only way to get him a good nap and for me to get anything done! The other day I put Kace in the jumper (which he is not as big of a fan as Trace & Jace Caleb were) and as he was jumping he was fussing a little. After a few minutes of silence I went over to check on him and this is what I found...



Sweet Baby Kace...NO, I did not just leave him there, I picked him up and cuddled my sweet little boy and he slept in my arms.

Can you believe I actually took the Halloween counter off almost a month later...it was counting down to next Halloween (are you kidding me???) I promise this weekend my goal is to update our blog so please (if you havn't already given up on me) check back to catch up with the Choate boys!!!

KACE 8 MONTHS OLD

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY JACE CALEB!!!

Jace Caleb turned 2 today and I feel that these past two years have just gone by unbelievably fast. It just seems like a few days ago we brought him home from the hospital and now he is 2!!! What??? We had a really great day today, despite the slowpoke at The Picture People, for those of you that go to the Picture People at the Woodlands Mall you know exactly who I am talking about. It took forever and we were in a bit of a hurry after we had already been there for over two hours. I was so frustrated, I usually don't get that worked up but that man did not know what the bleep he was doing (Ok, so now that I am over that tantrum...let's get on with our day)My mom, Trace, Jace Caleb, Kace and I went to eat at the Olive Garden where they brought him a cake and sang Happy Birthday, then off to have our pictures taken with our giggling Elmo chair, that crazy thing giggled all day in the car. Then we came home and sang Happy Birthday again with daddy and the left over cake from lunch. After we had the cake all over us for the second time today Trace and Jace Caleb took a huge bubble bath and made a huge mess and had a huge time and Jace Caleb said a new word that he kept yelling and throwing "BUBBLES" (I keet telling myself as I cleaned that all that really matters is that they had fun right???) We all had a really great day celebrating Jace's 2nd year of life and we all love him very much. HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet, full of life, nurturing little boy. I am so enjoying watching you grow and coming into your own. I love you to the moon and stars and heaven and back!!!
